Forging conditions
Forging is made at a range of temperature included between 1150 and 950°C, then cooled at appropriate conditions for the final thermal treatment and obtain required characteristics. In any case, please contact us.
Properties / Main use conditions
Ni-Cr-Mo-W alloy, named "C" family, which appeared in the 1965, due to installation of AOD and VOD remelting, which enables a decrease by factor 10 of the "C" value admitted in the past.
This alloy has a polyvalent resistance in many atmospheres, and for the first time, it gives the possibility of a diversified manufacture in single equipments. Low metallurgical stability which requires an accurate control of input during any heat operation. Good resistance to chlorine, formic acid, brine, sea water.
Main applications
Still frequently used due to its wide availability. For equipments for making various molecules in chemistry, fine chemistry and pharmaceutic chemistry. Reactors in synthesis for mineral and organic chemistry, hydrochloridric and sulphuric acids. Heat exchangers, reactors for making acetic acid. Equipment for recycling smokes by wet way.
