Forging conditions
Forging is made at a range of temperature included between 1150 and 950°C, then cooled at appropriate conditions for the final thermal treatment and obtain required characteristics. In any case, please contact us.
Properties / Main use conditions
Excellent resistance to corrosion in alkaline atmospheres and acid reducing atmospheres. Good resistance in mineral acids in confined atmospheres. A rare metal which resists to caustic soda, concentrated (about 50%) and hot (about 150°C). Good mechanical properties in a large range of temperatures.
Main applications
Acid or alkaline food production (fruit juices, ice-creams), cristallization and concentration of mineral salts. Concentration of caustic salts. Machineries in which hydrocarbons are in reaction with fluorides. Storing and carriage of phenol. Production of soaps and detergents.
