Forging conditions
Titanium and its alloys have two allotropic varieties. Consequently forging temperatures are in accordance with results to be obtained. In any case, please contact us.
Properties / Main use conditions
CAUTION : TITANIUM AND ITS ALLOYS ARE PYROPHORIC, SO IT IS CONVENIENT NOT TO STORE FINE WASTES (POWDERS, FILINGS, COUNTERSINKS OR CHIPS OF TURNING), IN CASE OF FIRE, ABSOLUTELY AVOID WATER AND USE EXCLUSIVELY WELL DRY SAND.
Good resistance to corrosion, especially in chlorine, saline water, various acids (hydrochloric and sulphuric), and also to corrosion by pitting or under tension. On the other hand mechanical characteristics are medium. Non magnetic metal and low elasticity coefficient.
Main applications
Condenser tubes, fittings for chemical industry (nitric acid), anodes for manufacture of chlorine, pumps, gates and cocks.
