Forging conditions
Rough pieces are oobtained by hot forging at a temperature convenient to obtain metallurgical, physical and mechanical characteristics as per each customer's requirements. In any case, please contact us.
Properties / Main use conditions
CuC (Cu-OF and Cu-OFE) coppers are characterized by their highest purity, and by absence of residual deoxidizing. They are obtained by electrolitic way, and are remelt in reducing atmospheres, American type process (OFHC), or with controlled addition of non-residual deoxidizers, German type process (NA class BE58). These coppers have the same advantages as all other categories (Cu-a and Cu-b) with highest electrical and thermal conductivity, and a best capacity for welding. Cu-C2 class having a better purity and limited oxygen value (inferior to 5 ppm) is more convenient for applications requiring a high vacuum.
Main applications
For parts requiring high conductibility and able to be brazed in low temperature, mecanized welded elements, semiconductors, electrical alternators, telecommunication wires, submarines, electrical engine collectors.
